Personal floristry classes & seasonal workshops from Christchurch and other beautiful locations.

From my studio in Christchurch, New Zealand

Where we have a dream climate for those that would love to learn about creating seasonal garden style flowers. Ones that have flowing lines, movement, space and exquisite details. Come to my studio and immerse yourself in the joy of exploring your creativity, and discovering a new way of floristry. One that is sustainable and utterly joyful!

  • Although it is called a flower class, it feels more like creating something together. She is incredibly patient and only steps in at exactly the right moments, allowing space to explore and learn. I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself, but this class felt calm, supportive, and free.

    Ting

  • Katherine is warm and inviting and generous with her guidance on how to achieve your own floral masterpieces. I took away plenty of new knowledge to apply, booking a class is really worth it.

    Trish

  • “Your flowers, they stand apart. You truly have a gift for sculpting and painting with them”

    Jimmie

  • A magical experience, learning how to create something beautiful with flowers. I’d wanted to do this for a while and it was everything I’d hoped for. Katherine is a gem - with an incredible eye and so much warmth. Her work speaks for itself and what a treat to get some of her time and insights.

    Jenny

  • “Your arrangements speak of a gentle hand and discerning eye, making art pieces. Not just floral bunches.”

    Roz

  • “I feel like my eyes are just opening up to a very different world of floral artistry, and what I could create from just my little garden.”

    Gemma

  • “You have a very natural, raw ability to transcend garden flowers into arrangements that look ethereal, whimsical and romantic.”

    Jera

  • “Katherine’s gentle and approachable way of sharing knowledge, both in flowers and photography was most helpful in my journey. The photography tips were instrumental in building my Instagram portfolio, which led to my dream job!”

    Luke

  • “The way you respect and place each flower is magic, and your choices and pairing with colours is wonderful.”

    Keryn

  • “I was absolutely blown away by your images when I discovered your Instagram account. Everything is so beautifully designed, styled and photographed!”

    Graeme

  • Katherine is such a lovely teacher! Spent an awesome full day with her covering bridal bouquets and flower photography. It was great to learn the mechanics to creating a beautiful bridal bouquet and it amazing to see how much you can get out of just your phone camera.

    Maddison

  • I absolutely loved my day with Katherine! I learned so much my brain was fizzing at the end of the day and my husband was laughing at my bubbling enthusiasm telling him about it on the phone. I travelled from Nelson to have my day with Katherine and it was totally worth it, I would do it again in a heartbeat!

    Laura

  • Oh my goodness, your Instagram page is just breathtakingly beautiful, and the words that go with it touch my heart! Couldn't think of a page that makes me more happy.

    Monica

  • Katherine is a gentle and thorough teacher, somebody who is assured but gracious, careful and inclusive. It isn’t so often that you meet a creative who is willing to show you what they know.

Learn about sustainable flower design, with local seasonal flowers, and stems from my cutting garden, along with foraged treasures. One of the most beautiful parts of this way, is that every season reveals its own floral beauty, something that I absolutely love.

“You have no idea how wonderful it is to come out of the dark frustration of being unable to crystallize such visions as you may have, and to find suddenly a possible medium of expression.”
